These terms govern your use of spendly.app and the Spendly application at live.spendly.app, operated by Telora Labs (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using Spendly, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
What Spendly is
Spendly is a personal budgeting and money-tracking tool. You enter information about your finances, and Spendly organises, converts, projects and reports on it.
What Spendly is not
This section matters more than the rest, so it’s near the top.
Spendly is not financial advice. Nothing in the product — not the budget forecasts, not the cash flow projection, not the year-ahead view, not the debt payoff comparison, not any suggestion the app makes — is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. These are arithmetic run over numbers you supplied. They are not recommendations, and they take no account of your circumstances, obligations or risk tolerance.
Decisions about debt, investments, savings or tax should be made with a qualified professional who knows your situation.
Spendly is not a bank or a regulated financial institution. It holds no money, moves no money, and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority or any equivalent body. No deposit protection scheme applies, because there are no deposits.
Projections are not predictions. Forward-looking figures are built from data you entered and assumptions the software makes. Real life includes late payments, lost income, broken boilers and exchange rate moves. Treat every projection as a rough shape, not a forecast you can rely on.
The numbers are only as good as your input. Spendly cannot verify what you enter. If a balance is wrong, everything derived from it is wrong.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old.
You’re responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. We strongly recommend a passkey or two-factor authentication — see security.
Provide an email address you actually control. It’s the only way we can reach you, and the only route to recovering access.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised: [email protected].
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Attempt to access another user’s data
- Probe, scan or attack the service, except as described in the responsible disclosure section of our security page
- Automate access in a way that degrades the service for others
- Use Spendly to store or process anything unlawful
- Resell or redistribute the service
We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.
Availability
Spendly is provided as is and as available. We don’t guarantee uptime, and there is no service level agreement.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we’ll give reasonable notice and a window to export your data.
Your data
You own the data you put in. We claim no ownership over it.
You can export your data at any time — see the scope note in our privacy policy — and delete your account from Settings.
How we handle your data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Price
Plans and prices are set out on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed annually. If we change a price, we’ll give notice before it takes effect, and using the service after that constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Financial decisions you make using Spendly
- Loss or corruption of data
- Loss of profit, revenue, or anticipated savings
- Any indirect or consequential loss
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you’re a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes affecting account holders we’ll notify you by email rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
