Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, including the awkward ones

Is this the same as the Spendly card?

No. Spendly at spendly.app is a budgeting app: you connect or enter your own accounts and it tracks spending, budgets and net worth across currencies. There is no card, no account to open, and nothing to apply for.

If you arrived looking for a card or crypto product with a similar name, this is a different company. We are Telora Labs, and what we make is described on the features page.

Plans and pricing

How much does Spendly cost?

There are three plans. Free covers unlimited accounts and transactions, all 49 currencies, category budgets and monthly reports. Pro is $49 a year and adds envelopes, sinking funds, debt payoff, cash flow forecasting, investment tracking and net worth. Premium is $99 a year and adds bank feeds. Billing is annual, and CSV export works on every plan including Free.

In more detail: Spendly is a personal finance app with three plans: Free, Pro at $49 a year, and Premium at $99 a year. Free is a real plan rather than a trial: unlimited accounts and transactions, all 49 currencies, category budgets and monthly reports. Pro adds the planning tools; Premium adds bank feeds. Full breakdown on the pricing page.

Is the Free plan time-limited?

No. No countdown, no card required.

Which countries do bank connections cover?

The US, EU and UK, on Premium. Major banks in each are supported.

What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?

It stays, and CSV export works on every plan including Free. You are never locked in on any tier.

Using it

How many currencies does Spendly support?

Spendly supports 49 currencies. Each account holds one currency, and everything converts into your base currency at daily rates. See multi-currency support.

How do transactions get into Spendly?

Four ways, and most people mix them:

How it works walks through setup.

How long does setup take?

About ten minutes: pick a base currency, add accounts with their balances, tidy the categories.

Is there a mobile app?

Spendly runs in any modern browser and installs to your home screen as a Progressive Web App on iOS and Android. It works offline and syncs when you reconnect. There is no App Store or Google Play download.

Does it work offline?

Yes. It’s a PWA with an offline queue: log an expense on a plane and it syncs when you reconnect.

Data

Can I get my data out of Spendly?

Yes, from Settings. Current scope: accounts, budgets, categories, investments, transactions. Savings goals, sinking funds, envelopes and debts aren’t in the automated export yet. Ask and we’ll extract them.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from Settings. It revokes every session immediately. See the honest note about erasure versus deletion in the privacy policy.

Do you sell my data?

No. See privacy for what we collect and which providers process it.

Who builds Spendly?

Telora Labs, a small team. Spendly is not venture funded and does not currently generate revenue.

Who is Spendly for?

It’s built for you if your money spans more than one currency: you’re an expat, you earn abroad, you have accounts or property in another country, or you travel enough that a single-currency budget stops making sense.

It’s also a good fit if you want planning tools rather than just a record: envelopes, sinking funds, debt payoff and a forward view of the next twelve months.

And it scales with you. Start with budgets and reports, add envelopes and sinking funds when you want tighter control, and let the coach and AI drafting take over the parts you’d rather not do by hand.
