Spendly has three plans. Pro and Premium are billed annually rather than monthly, because a budgeting app you pay for once a year is one fewer subscription to audit.

Which one you want
Free is a real plan, not a trial. Unlimited accounts and transactions, every currency, category budgets and monthly reports. If your finances are straightforward and you mainly want to know where the money went, this is enough.
Pro is for planning rather than recording. Envelopes, sinking funds, debt payoff, the cash flow forecast, investments and net worth — the tools that answer “what happens next” rather than “what happened”. At $49 a year that’s about £3.30 a month, and it’s the plan most people who stick with budgeting end up on.
Premium adds direct bank connections in the US, EU and UK, so transactions arrive on their own. If the only thing standing between you and a working budget is the admin, this is the plan that removes it.
Billing
- Annual only. No monthly option — it keeps the price down and the admin lower.
- Cancel any time. You keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
- Downgrade any time. Your data stays; the features you’re no longer paying for stop being available. Nothing is deleted.
Questions
Is Free time-limited?
No. It’s a plan, not a trial. There’s no countdown and no card required.
What happens to my data if I downgrade or cancel?
It stays. You keep access to everything you entered, and CSV export works on every plan — including Free. You are never locked in, on any tier.
How do transactions get in?
On any plan you can upload a statement, CSV or screenshot and Spendly reads the transactions out of it, import in bulk through an AI assistant using the MCP integration, or add them by hand. Premium adds direct bank connections in the US, EU and UK, so they arrive on their own.
Which banks are supported?
Major banks across the US, EU and UK. Tell us your bank and we’ll get you connected.
Can I pay monthly?
No. Annual billing only.
What currency am I charged in?
Prices are shown in USD. Your card issuer converts at their rate.
Still deciding?
Open the app and start on Free. Everything you enter carries over if you upgrade later, and nothing you build on Free is lost by moving up or back down.
